Dr. Charlie E. McAdoo II is a dedicated educator with more than 20 years of experience in public education and a strong commitment to student success. He has taught in the middle school, high school, and post secondary levels. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Clark Atlanta University, a Master of Business Education from the University of West Georgia, and a Doctorate in Education in Adult and Career Education from Valdosta State University.
Throughout his career, Dr. McAdoo has taught Career and Technical Education courses focused on business, communication, and technology skills that prepare students for future opportunities. In addition to teaching, he has served in leadership roles, mentored students and early-career educators, and developed programs that connect education, mentorship, and career readiness.
Dr. McAdoo has been actively involved in several professional leadership and policy initiatives that support educators and strengthen Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE). He is a Georgia Department of Education Teacher Policy Fellow, where he collaborated with policymakers and education leaders that helped shape education policy and advocated for students and teachers across the state.
Dr. McAdoo is also a graduate of the LEAD CTAE Fellowship, a statewide leadership initiative that develops innovative CTAE leaders in Georgia. He has also presented at local, regional, and national education conferences, sharing best practices in mentorship, career readiness, and workforce development, and served as a National Mentor with the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE), supporting educators across the country in their professional growth and leadership development.
